Program Descriptions
The Doctor of Philosophy (Education) is offered to fulfill the need for experts in specific education fields. Additionally, it is offered to provide opportunities for those interested to embark on serious research on their chosen area of education. It allows the participants to pursue an in depth study in the research area specified. The program is carried out by research and is offered both on a full time and part time basis. The graduates are expected to have good career prospects relevant to their area of expertise in the public and private higher learning institutions. They could also find positions in education research and development, suitable with their area of expertise.

Duration of Studies
Full time and part time: 2½ to 7 years

Career Prospects

Upon completion of this program, aspirants’ career development possibilities are:
Educational related fields: Graduates may find successful careers related to their field of expertise at government of private institutes of higher education. Candidates may also succeed in the field of research and development in education.

Entry Requirements

The Doctor of Philosophy (Education) program is open to candidates who fulfill the following requirements:

1.  Master Degree in Education from UiTM or other recognized university;

OR

2.  Master degree in any relevant fields from a recognize university with at least ONE year of teaching/working experience;

OR

3.  APEL A

AND

4. Must have a minimum Malaysian University English Test (MUET) score of Band 3.5

AND

5.  A research proposal suited to the Faculty of Education's research areas;

AND

6.  Pass the interview and test conducted by the Faculty of Education.
