Program Descriptions
The Master of Education in Educational Management and Leadership emphasizes on the component of leadership and managerial practices that one would usually encounter in playing an educational managerial role like a principal or a headmaster. In addition, like other master degree programs in the Faculty of Education, versatility is given salience. Thus, aspirants are encouraged to apply creativity, flexibility and adaptability of knowledge and skills to various contexts. In return, this alleviates systematic thinking, reflectivity and autonomy among the aspirants. This is in line with the nation’s aspiration to foster inclusive and equitable development of education as the basis for higher economic growth.
Mode and Duration
Full-time: 1 ½ years (classes during weekdays)
Part-time: 2 years (classes on Friday and Saturday)

Entry Requirements
The Master of Education in Educational Management and Leadership is open to any candidates who fulfils the following requirements:
1. Any Bachelor's Degree (Honors) from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.75;
OR
2. Any Bachelor's Degree (Honors) from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and at least ONE year of teaching/working experience;
OR
3. Any Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university not meeting the requirement of CGPA 2.50 with at least FIVE years of teaching/working experience;
OR
4. APEL A
AND
5. Must have a minimum Malaysian University English Test (MUET) score of Band 3.5
AND
6. Pass the interview and test conducted by the Faculty of Education.
Academic Pathway after Master of Education in Educational Management and Leadership
Graduates who wish to further their studies may pursue Doctor of Philosophy (Education)
