A total of 37 delegates from Indonesia, comprising 5 lecturers and 32 students, participated in the EDU Global Connect 2025 programme. Held from 13 to 24 October 2025, the programme aims to broaden international collaboration among regional higher education institutions, in line with SDG 4 – Quality Education.

The opening ceremony, held on 16 October, was officiated by YBrs Prof Dr Ahmad Taufek Abdul Rahman, the Acting Rector of UiTM Cawangan Selangor.

The launch of EGC also witnessed the signing of Letters of Intent (LOI) between the Faculty of Education and Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (Tasikmalaya & Sumedang campuses) as well as Universitas Muhammadiyah Sukabumi.

This programme not only provided academic exposure but also enriched participants’ cultural understanding. A variety of activities were organised, including SULAM programmes, Collaborative Teaching sessions, Mini Seminars and International Colloquia, the TaLIS Symposium, Traditional Games and Cultural Interaction activities, as well as Outdoor Activities.

It is hoped that through this initiative, academic relations between UiTM and Indonesian universities will continue to strengthen and bring mutual benefits to both parties.
